Department of political science was introduced which the Inception of the college in the year1982. At the under - graduate course of those years, student had to offer a major subjectand two minor subjects. Political science was introduced as a major and minor subject in our college for the arts course. The scheme of major and minor subjects was replaced by the new scheme of three subjects of equal importance in the year 1990-91. Several eminent professor have worked relentlessly to develop the department at present, the department is headed by S.V. Shindhe. The department offers the system of three subjects of equal importance. It has thirteen combinations with other optional subjects. For 1st semester Indian constitution &for 2nd semester Human Rights is compulsory paper for B.A./B. Com./B. C. A. Coursers.

The Department of Political Science endeavors to generate new knowledge& produce students who are trained in Political Science.
