ABOUT
Department of mathematics was introduced in the year 1982. Later, in view of the growing importance of science and its application in various walks of life. The sangha introduced Science branch in the year 1992. The department of mathematics was established with initial strength of 26 students in B.Sc.Part-I. Prof M.K.Gavimath joined the department as a first lecturer & HOD. As the strength increases, to co-up with the workload Prof.S.S.Sobarad was appointed later on Prof.Smt.R.S.Mathapati have also served in the department.
VISION
The Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics will be a model of a Vibrant and thriving in the areas of Research, Teaching & Student Community. Growing our campus status as a model for Teaching excellence at all levels in and out of the classroom. Extracurricular Environment that attracts and engage students inspires in them an expanded curiosity and appreciation of Mathematics.
MISSION
Mathematics illuminates the beautiful and astonishing hidden structures of the universe on which the World of Science operates through which Technologies function from which social science can be modelled and with which the humanities and fine arts interact.
